Report Designer · documents

Your users design the documents. Your back end prints the PDFs.

A report designer that embeds in your app, and a render service that turns template plus data into the same PDF every time.

Designer

Built for dense business documents

Bands and pagination

Page and report headers and footers; tables split across pages and repeat their header; page x of y anywhere.

Your data, drag and drop

Give it your JSON Schema: fields appear as a tree, and dragging a list makes a table.

Grouping and totals

Sort, group, subtotal and break pages per group, with sum, average and formatting functions.

16 barcode types

Code 128, GS1-128, EAN/UPC, ITF-14, QR, Data Matrix, PDF417, Aztec and more.

Latin, Greek, Cyrillic and CJK

Chinese, Japanese and Korean fonts, local date and currency formats, and the designer itself in 9 languages. Right-to-left and Indic scripts are not supported.

What you see is the PDF

The preview is the real PDF from the same engine, and output is deterministic.

Integration

An element in your page, a POST from your server

In your front end

<script type="module"
  src="https://reports.your-company.example/sdk/1.0.0/report-designer.js"></script>
<report-designer
  font-base-url="https://reports.your-company.example/sdk/1.0.0/fonts/"></report-designer>

Set template and schema, listen for save. Guides for plain HTML, Angular, Vue, React and Svelte; themable with CSS tokens.

From your back end

curl -X POST https://reports.your-company.example/api/v1/render \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"template": …, "data": {"bolNumber": "BOL2026102001"}}' \
  -o bol.pdf

Batch: one PDF with a copy per record. Samples for curl, Node, Python, Java and C#. OpenAPI 3.1 included.

Deployment and safety

Deployment

  • Executables for Linux, macOS and Windows; Dockerfile included
  • A 3-page bill of lading renders in about 100–300 ms on one core, after warm-up
  • Stateless: scale out with more instances, no sticky sessions
  • Writes nothing and never logs request bodies

Safe with customer templates

  • Expressions are sandboxed, never evaluated as code
  • Every render has a memory cap and a deadline
  • Remote images only from hosts you allow
  • Offline license; without a paid key, PDFs are watermarked, never blocked
